Dear Busy Parents, Tutors, and Teachers!
We do! We're laying it all out so you don't have to pull your hair out!
I am excited to introduce you to Phonological Awareness Reading Readiness Activities (PARRA).
A concise package designed to develop pre-reading skills in children.
Providing exercises in the ability to hear and manipulate sounds.
Essential pre-reading skills that form the foundation of reading and spelling.
Our Phonological Awareness Activities is a mastery-based package that includes all the elements your pre-reader needs to develop this skill.
Here are some of the benefits of PARRA:
Sequenced Activities: The activities are sequenced from the easiest to more difficult, making it easy for children to progress at their own pace.
Easy to Follow: PARRA includes a 21-page, easy-to-follow guide, and 3 explanatory videos, making it simple for anyone to use.
Proven Results: Explicit instruction on Phonological Awareness is proven to speed up the reading process in typical children and aid atypical children with learning disabilities.
Multi-sensory Strategies: The package engages learners by drawing on multisensory and listening exercises.
Suitable for All: Whether you are a preschooler, kindergartener, a child with learning disabilities, or a newcomer to the English language, PARRA is designed for you.
The goal of this package is to give you many different exercises to prepare your child for reading and spelling. Go at your child's pace, incorporating one or two through out your day or in their reading lessons.
Not all children will master rhyming. If your child is getting frustrated and so are you, because they are not grasping the rhyming concept, move on to the next activities. Keep reintroducing concepts of rhyming but don't feel like you can't move forward to the other activities without rhyming mastery.
1. The ability to manipulate sounds in spoken language is the foundation for strong reading and spelling.
2. Sounding out (segmenting) phonemes in a word provides the necessary skills to read words with confidence and begin to spell.
