Violet Mountain Reading Adventure

This 2nd mountain is for parents of kids who recognize most consonant letters/sounds. Here they learn short vowel sounds and efficiently write letters. 'Reading' repetitive books with picture support raises confidence to do the work of learning to read.

Go With Us On Our 5 Trek Adventure!

  1. Learn fun, engaging ways to teach vowel letters and sounds.

  2. Learn what sight words are and why they are important, as well as how to choose easy, frequently used words in the books they are beginning to read.

  3. Choose from 100+ exciting level A books in Reading A to Z to help your child begin to see himself as a reader. So many great options to choose from!  We show you how to use a picture walk to prepare your child so that he will be successful ‘reading’ even though he doesn’t yet know how to sound out a word.

  4. Use daily journal drawing/writing time to help your child begin to see herself as an author.

  5. Put it all together into a lesson that launches your young reader forward!
